Purveyors of Confusion
So who causes all of our confusion? As time goes by, we’ll add to this list, but here’s a general rundown:
Religion – There’s dozens of them and they all say something different…oh and if you don’t believe in any one of them you’re in serious trouble. So according to any one, if you believe in any other, you’re screwed. Slam your head into the wall now.
Cable News - Talking heads, moron pundits, bias, dishonesty and spin. When newz is more opinion than news you get newsfusion.
Politicians – They lie on a daily basis. They don’t really know what party they’re from (because they don’t usually act like their party says they should), they call themselves conservative and throw money around, they insist adulterers resign then cheat on their own wives… They’re a bundle of contradictions and only out for their own gain 99% of the time.
Education – Some teachers are great, some aren’t. But you can get confused just trying to pick out truth from our own history books. For instance, when thinking about Christopher Columbus I’m reminded of a great American Indian comedian who said, “How can you discover a place where people have already been living?”
Cable/Satellite Bills – Try to read one in my area and you’ll hit yourself in the head with a herring.
